I received the box today, when I got home from the gym. I immediately hopped into the shower to put as many of the items as I could to the test. I’ve used many soaps that claim to be so moisturizing that lotion is optional, and none have lived up to the claim. I refrained from lotioning for about an hour after I showered, in an attempt to this this claim, but eventually gave out of fear of dry skin. For the hour, it actually kept my skin nice and moist! You know how chefs salt poultry before baking to keep the meat moist? I wonder if the salt in this bar has the same effect.
The Gnarly Whale spray smells DELICIOUS, like COCONUT CUPCAKES. I am blessed/cursed with bone straight, thick hair, so there are no waves to be found after wards, but I do love spraying my head with delicious smelling elixirs, so I’m very excited about the spray!
I also tried Aimee’s face cream and Colorado’s serum. Aimee’s face cream absorbs (so) quickly and has a barely-there, pleasant, citrusy smell. The Colorado Aromatics Serum claims to banish puffy eyes, which I could definitely use. Do you remember as a kid that feeling of getting Elmer’s glue over your fingers and having it dry out? The serum feels like that on your face for a few minutes after applying, but goes away fairly quickly. These two require more testing before I make a judgement on them, but I will keep you posted.
Overall, not blown away but definitely pleased with the box this month. I will definitely have lots of fun with the coconut spray this weekend!
